Authors

Brian Meier has taught English since 1994. He is currently the AP English and World Literature instructor at Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, Washington. Additionally, he has taught Business Writing at Gonzaga University and English Communication at Shizuoka Johoku High School in Japan. He earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University and a BA in English from Seattle Pacific University. As a content author, Brian continually evaluates the program and beta tests it in his classroom.


Since 1993, Christian Birrer has been an English Instructor at Gonzaga Prep and is now serving as Chairman of the English Department. He received his BA from Gonzaga University and completed his Master's Degree at Gonzaga University in 2000. As a content author, Christian has been instrumental in assisting with effective instructional design within the software. He collaborates with the programmers and provides quality content for Learning To Write.


Sales & Marketing

Mary Kay Utecht - Marketing and Sales. Utecht, a former public school teacher, administrator and staff developer, since graduation from the University of Idaho, has extensive experience in developing instructional design tools as well as understanding the needs and demands of educators. Prior to e-Learning Tools, Utecht and partner successfully and marketed software for real-time monitoring of literacy assessments as outlined by Washington State Basic Literacy Law. In partnership with e-Learning Tools, Kid Compass Reading software was developed from a CD application to a web-based application in 2000.
